We have for rent a charming authentic schist (slate) cottage in a quiet, friendly hill village only 10 minutes drive from the thriving regional town of Arganil in beautiful Central Portugal.
South facing, set in its own garden with flower beds, vines,fruit trees
and its old olive tree, the cottage has both sunny aspects and shaded patio areas. The views from the balcony and garden, especially the sun-sets, are stunning. The area is ideal for walking, fishing, cycling or just to relax and unwind.
A real romantic "hide-away" yet a short drive to the main regional centre and in the middle of beautiful countryside with its rivers, vallies and ancient terracing. This is the "real" Portugal.
Because of the nature of the building, it is not suitable for wheelchair users or the infirm.
From May to September, the cottage is available for a minimum of 4 nights and the rent is as follows:
Low Season: September 1 - May 31
- £200 (€240) per week
High Season: June 1 - August 31 - £225 (€265) per week
