A two bedroom, south facing cottage with it's own secluded walled garden with stunning views over the village to the valley beyond.

The kitchen with newly hand built kitchen has flag-stoned floors with a staircase to a mezzanine second sitting room and second bedroom with two single beds.

From the kitchen there are double doors leading to a stone staircase into the garden and a door into large bathroom with washing machine. Also off the kitchen, are double doors opening onto a large beamed sitting room with Morso wood burning stove a sofa bed for two and a second dining table.

Benfeita is a truly magical village with a incredibly friendly welcoming locals and a growing foreigner community of artists, musicians and organic farmers. The village has an attractive summer river pool and beach. This includes a children's pool and changing facilities and is next to the summer bar in the square where concerts, festivals and other events are often held. There is also a tennis court, a local shop, post office and a second bar. Both bars have Wi-Fi and TMN internet dongles work well in the area.

The landscape is awesomely beautiful and there are some breathtaking marked walks like the one to the spectacular waterfall of Fraga da Pena. The nearest small town, Coja is only a ten minute drive. The university city of Coimbra is an hours drive. There is skiing about an hours drive away in the Serra da Estrella mountains and it's about an hour and a half to the beach.

Weekly rates for short lets:

350 euros : June,July,August,September and Christmas and New Year.

300 euros: Easter

275 euros: All other periods.

25 euros per extra person

Rates for Long winter lets ( 6 month minimum)

350 euros per month

Deposit of 450 euros plus 2 months in advance .

2 month notice from Tenant or Landlord.

Return of deposit if found without damage.

A deposit of 20% is payable on confirmation of booking with the remainder to be paid 4 weeks before arriving.
